This large and rare Japanese display/tea chest has very pleasing and intricately carved leaf and chrysanthemum patterns which are finely colored in cinnabar tones and cover virtually the entire visible area. Additionally, two lovely relief carved landscape scenes adorn the two bottom doors. Meiji Period (1868–1911)
