This finely sculptured horse is of a type known as “Fongxian” (an area near Xian). Some of the most recognizable features of the Fongxian horses include very strong necks, smaller aquiline heads, and well-rounded bodies, especially their haunches. The Fongxian prancer is among the most sought-after of this pose from any region.
