This very pleasing early 20th-century tea tansu has an excellent functional design to go with its attractive rounded corners construction. Multiple-size doors and drawers, combined with shelves and a large pair of framed glass doors, have created a desirable cabinet that can be used in multiple locations. Two smaller sliding doors have woven silk obi (sash for a kimono) inserts, but I am not sure if they are original.
